Amir joined KASS in 2012, after having worked with a major Global Business Services organization, where he helped clients from diverse backgrounds find solutions to improve efficiency in their companies. He recently completed his Bachelor of Jurisprudence (External) with honours.
Using his prior experience to his advantage, he assists with the supervision and management of the trademarks, industrial designs and franchise team at KASS, in addition to overseeing the docketing team. Apart from dealing with the searching, registration and prosecution of trademarks and industrial designs, he also provides advice on franchise and copyright matters, as well as on issues relating to trademark registrability and objections in all ASEAN countries.
Amir has written numerous articles on IP and conducted several talks on the role and importance of trademarks, in both English and Malay.
